Universal Design & Fabrication, Inc. works with its customers to design and fabricate custom equipment. Projects have ranged from custom hand trucks to move specialized equipment to drive train dynamometers. Projects have been completed that are now in use by customers that include EZGo Textron, DuPont, Electrolux, Husqvarna, & RJReynolds. Most of our equipment goes into testing facilities where customers seek to locate shortcomings or defects in their products prior to or immediately after release to production. With automated test equipment, customers can collect operational data in a fraction of the time. For example, one customer is able to collect 3 years worth of in-field data in approximately 3 months with their computer automated test fixture. This allows them to locate and correct areas in the design/manufacture of the product early in the production process... thus saving on warranty repairs. |
